Are you looking for a great Brunch place in Camden?
Well look no further, I can highly recommend Q Grill on Chalk Farm road!
We went there for a friend’s birthday last weekend. Given the number of kids everyone has, a birthday dinner wasn’t as convenient as a brunch time thing, and I for one wasn’t complaining.
I think this is the best (ok maybe it’s the only..) brunch I’ve had where the full fry up comes with ribs!! And they were good 🙂
As might be given away by the name, Q Grill is into the American food of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, catfish, po’boys etc – good ol’ southern comfort food.
For those not needing the hangover cure of a smoothie and ribs for your breakfast, they also offer the unlimited brunch bar at the weekends – continental in style this has pastries, fruit and ham.
They also do pitchers of bloody Mary’s and michaladas – which are bloody Mary’s mixed with beer and tequila instead of vodka… Dangerous.
The BMCK or Bloody Mary Construction Kit at the bar – make it to your taste or grab a whole pitcher.
Even better was the service – we were 9 adults and 4 kids and the waiting staff were able to accommodate every request relating to baby chairs and special food choices, including gluten free for the birthday boy (well he’s not really a boy anymore!)
I’ve been here before and tried the waffles with bacon and maple syrup – also very tasty – so I’m definitely coming back – who’s joining me?
After we had demolished a substantive portion of the menu and several pitchers, we made the most of the beautiful sunshine (JB had obviously been a very good this year!) and headed up to Primrose Hill:
We also discovered the zylophone in the Primrose Hill playground – as much fun for the adults as it was for the 3 year olds!
