As some gin distilleries are opening up post lockdown, there are still loads that are doing virtual tours & tastings and online cocktail classes. Find out which online gin tours, tastings and cocktail classes are scheduled in September 2020:
*Full disclosure – some gin brands with events mentioned I’ve worked with before. Where this is the case I will clearly mark it out in the event title*sace

11th & 25th September – Warners virtual tour and tasting [event experience gifted]
I was delighted to be invited to attend the first Warner’s virtual tour and tasting. It was awesome to be able to see around the farm, the distillery and the botanical gardens, including the apiary (where they keep bees). Tom Warner promises that you’ll see a lot more on the virtual tour than you will see in ‘real life’ and that’s all due to the hard work of their team behind the cameras.
The tasting is £40 and includes 5 samples of Warners Gins, and 3 x Fever-Tree mixers. Book your ticket here: Warners Virtual Gin Experience
14-20th September Negroni Week!
My favourite time of year, not that I need an excuse to drink my favourite drink! This year Negroni Week will be a virtual celebration – not happening in any bars or restaurants, but instead from the comfort of your own home. Buy the ingredients, make a negroni and donate online to support the hospitality industry that has been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For an idea of classic negroni recipes and twists on them, check out the post I did last year to celebrate 100 years of the negroni:
Plenty of gin brands are offering negroni packs – e.g. Sacred have their Highgate Negroni (all the component parts made by them in Highgate). You can buy the bottles to make it yourself or buy their pre-mixed bottle aged negroni.
Also check out the bars – Bar Termini make 5 pre-mixed negronis, which includes one exclusive to their online shop (the other 4 you can try in the bar)
17th September – Sacred Gin cocktail masterclass [prior relationship with Sacred gin]
So I’m sorry if you missed out the Sactred negroni club on the 7th due to me being too late publishing this post, however all is not lost. You can still join distiller Siobhan for a cocktail masterclass with the Sacred gins and vermouth. Siobhan will take you through making 3 classic gin cocktails: a Martinez, a Bramble and the Sacred Sloe Gin Fizz!
Tickets are £29.95 and include 5 spirits/vermouth/liqueur samples to make the cocktails & the Zoom password. Buy tickets here Sacred Cocktail Masterclass
All you need on top of this kit will be lemons, ice, a shaker or jam jar, a spoon and a strainer!
