Cooking cocktails Breaking Bad style @ ABQ

After a week relaxing in Mexico I had a great treat booked in, a visit to the ABQ RV in Hackney Wick to cook cocktails!

This amazing light sculpture greets you inside. For £30 you can come experience ‘cooking up’ cocktails…..

Here’s the RV! The whole experience is based on the series Breaking Bad where they make drugs in an RV – instead we just cooked cocktails.

On arrival we received a shot of their spicy tequila with blue curacao and got stuck in with some of their chemistry themed cocktails and some fried chicken from Los Pollos (not included in the ticket price).

After a little while chilling the set up for our session was complete and we got to see the inside of the RV!

Ingredients for the cocktails…

There are three separate benches inside the RV, all with three stations to make each cocktail.

And add dry ice!! Now we are really cooking!

Special set up to infuse our cocktail with strawberry flavour – looks impressive, no?!

After each of the three steps had been done a member of staff, dressed in an orange boiler suit with safety gear, prepared the final cocktails:

This was the Skyler Blue Tap – peachy strawberry with sherbet on the side (honest!)

After enjoying the first cocktail we were eager to crack on with the next one – more dry ice please!!

It took a while to mix all the dry ice into the liquid, so every got a chance at doing it – here’s Sarah bringing her baking experience to the mix.

Ta da! We made blue!

Have gloves, will pose – health and safety first kids!

And the final product – alcoholic blue slushy – hmmm (rum and citric flavour)

Going down well lol!

The RV is full of great touches on the decorations!
