One Saturday morning, just as my hangover was dawning I managed to drag some friends to the Colonel Fawcett for brunch to sort myself out.
Actually this is slightly exaggerated – their brunch runs from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays and I think we were there in the afternoon when the girls had finished yoga. The hangover part is true though :s
The menu is very extensive – there will be something to please everyone from the traditional brunch dishes to comfort food, pub grub and some delicious sounding fish dishes if you want to be healthy (I almost chose the scallops). All the food I’ve had here has been fantastic so its very difficult to narrow down the selection.
The Colonel Fawcett also has a wide selection of gin – over 70 bottles now – and a fabulous Sunday lunch (no brunch on Sundays but with the roast belly pork you don’t need it!)
After all those carbs we needed a walk to clear the cobwebs and burn some calories – so we headed to Primrose Hill to count the cranes around London (a clear indication of a booming London!)
Oh look the Primrose Hill bakery…. We were just like those kids peering in the window – so in we went!
I do love a cupcake – but I’m a fan of the mini ones which you can get into your mouth in one go lol! The range at the Primrose Hill bakery is innovative with a wide selection for everyone – including gluten free 🙂
