Edit – Market is now closed <sad face>
Wandering up Parkway in Camden the other weekend, Laura and I came across Market. It’s a cute little restaurant with a focus on seasonal local produce. I’ve eaten there before – in their private room for a friends birthday dinner, but I didn’t know they did brunch until the other week… And it looked amazing.
So we gathered the girls and went down on a Saturday lunchtime to check it out.
The decently sized menu, with a full selection across brekkie, lunch and more unusual brunch options. Everying sounded and looked amazing!
We were so excited about the food we forgot to photograph most of it :s
Lauren took the amazingly light and fluffy blueberry buttermilk pancakes with maple – I was very jealous as these were simply stunning! I went for the savoury option of bacon beans and poached egg, lovely for those that like your beans homemade, full of flavour and with added meat!
Alex took the bubble and squeak and Laura the eggs Royale – the only picture we have of the main courses!:
I kinda wanted to have the pancakes as well after tasting Lauren’s, but instead at the waitresses recommendation we tried the desserts….
Salted caramel ice cream with chocolate mousse and homemade honeycomb – to.die.for!!
All of the food was wonderful – the menu has something to suit all palates and the staff were delightful!
The restaurant is a small space and I would advise booking for tables more than 4 – not a huge space for buggies and kids though. We were surprised to hear one of the other tables shushing us when our group all laughed at once… Definitely more a space for adults!
They are open for brunch/lunch from 12-2.30pm Saturdays and earlier from 11am Sundays, when they also have a roast available. Another lovely little treat on Parkway! 🙂
