Some of you may know that I have a new job working for EY based in More London. The nearest tube is London Bridge (for me on the Northern line anyway!) and from the office I have a great view of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London in one direction, HMS Belfast and the city in the other direction – including the walkie scorchie.
I’m based in More London, which is a development between City Hall and London Bridge – now overshadowed by the Shard. One of the key focal points is the Scoop outside of City Hall and right now there is a Christmas market there.
The Christmas tree of lights in the Scoop – with plenty of tourists taking their photos!
The Christmas market is in the form of traditional wooden ‘chalet’ huts and there are a variety of wintery things and gifts on sale. Everything from pashminas (ideal gift for Mums and Nans), to designer socks (stocking fillers for Dads), alpaca (for everyone!), tiny zip up woollens for kids and the necessary Christmas jumpers for £10!
For anyone working in the area there are also a collection of huts at the bottom of the Scoop with food from around the world – everything from pastries to curries to hog roast. Ideal for lunch or a post work stomach liner before the Christmas drinks 🙂
No Christmas market would be complete without a stall selling mulled wine! You can also get champagne at this bar – shopping in style!
The market is open until Sunday 21st – ideal for last minute shopping or just pop in for some food or drinks whilst you’re in the area.
