Festive Bath – no I don’t mean a nice long soak in scented water, but rather the City!!
Now that the Christmas Market is all packed up what can you do in Bath? Well the sales have now started and if like us you flag from festive season shopping I’ve found the solution to rejuvenate you – the Après Ski hut!
I love the look of the ‘fur’ (faux of course!) covered chairs outside with blankets to keep you toasty – very continental!
You can find the Après ski bar just outside The Abbey Hotel with a view of the back of Bath Abbey.
Inside they are selling local beers (out of glass boots lol!), gluhwein, tea, coffee, cocktails as well as goulash and snacks like fresh out of the oven sausage rolls.
The inside of the ‘chalet’ is brilliantly decorated with lots of faux furs, patterned cushions, Christmas decorations and all the stockings!:
There is also a wood burning stove – so it’s very toasty inside, ideal for whiling away a few hours.
There’s even Bruno the boar hanging out with Lizzie!
The Après Ski hut is open until the 10th January 2015 – so plenty of time to visit. You can also buy their sound track (which my nephew wasn’t a fan of screaming his head off every time he came inside :s) and they are selling tickets for their New Year’s Eve do, which should be suitably alpine 🙂
