This is where the Pierre Marcolini pop up ice cream shop comes in! I was invited to check out their make your own ice cream lollies as part of the Love Popups London* group (check them out online and on Facebook).

Waiting to serve you ice cream – and not just any icecream…
No, this is Pierre Marcolini ice cream!
As well as the ice cream lollies there are tubs of ice cream to buy for immediate consumption and you can also take larger tubs home – if you can wait that long!
I was here for the dip your own ice lollies though…
Basically how it works is that you choose your ice cream lolly flavour: Raspberry, Chocolate, Slightly Salted Caramel, Mango from Brazil, Vanilla or Seasame White Chocolate (hmmm intriguing!!), then choose your topping/coating:
As well as the choice of the ice cream flavour, you also get to choose the coating from three different types of chocolate with different additions
The coatings were dark chocolate with cocoa nibs, smokey dark chocolate, milk chocolate with toasted hazelnut, milk chocolate with almond, white chocolate with toasted coconut or white chocolate with toasted sesame…. again the sesame intrigues me, but not enough to forgo dark chocolate!
Here’s me trying it out for myself:
I tried the Brazilian mango sorbet covered by the smokey dark chocolate, and my it was good! I loved the mango sorbet – so fresh and juicy and the perfect foil to the slightly smokey flavours of the dark chocolate. This was subtle but sublime, a definite treat you do NOT give the kids!

The summer chocolate range (and a vast carousel of macarons) greet you inside the shop. Everything is so pretty and delightful, the flavours perfect for Summer and the packing fantastic for gifts or for treating yourself! The chocolate flavours link in with the ice cream flavours and textures, some truly innovative chocolates. I particularly liked the passion fruit caramel – a combination I would never have thought to try before!
I couldn’t walk past these macarons without taking a pic – so photogenic and so Londan darling!
