An end of the year round up of what Katie’s been doing in 2015.
From a lot of gin soaked activities, travel in Europe and as far as Mexico and Cuba and plenty of great meals with friends, these are my top 10 blog posts of 2015 as viewed by you:
With over 300 gins released in 2015, Ian Buxton has done a great job in narrowing the selection to 101 Gins you should try before you die. This was one of my first pre-release review posts and it seems you all loved it!
#2 – Chichen Itza & Tulum
The perfect day trips from Playa del Carmen – a combination of history and archaeology at Chichén Itzá and the most gorgeous beach & laid back vibes at Tulum – bliss!
#3 – 3 steps to convert a gin hater
My guide on how to get someone to love gin – invaluable if you’re not sure about the juniper based good stuff! I guarantee that there is a gin out there for everyone, it just might not be a traditional one or served with tonic…..
Dessert with brunch? Yes please! Market is a great independent restaurant on Parkway in Camden and worth visiting for the luscious brunch at the weekend. The staff are lovely and the food divine – need I say more?!
#5 – Gin Club on a boat
For an out and out gin lush like myself, one of the highlights had to be making my own gin with the rest of gin club on a canal boat by Kings Cross!
#6 – My Top 5 Amsterdam Museums
Amsterdam is perfect for a city break or long weekend and my friend Tiva and I managed to hit up a lot of museums before trying out the nightlife – here are my favourites.
#7 – Girls Dinner @Maze
Not only was this a great girls night out, it was also special as my birthday dinner and boy did Maze make it amazing!
Even though we were on a deal, we got treated to a private table with kitchen view, a tour around the kitchen and being chatted up by the head chef! One to remember…
On a lazy family holiday in Valletta, Malta the most important thing each day was where to eat. We were amazed to find one of the best restaurants actually in the city walls – well worth a visit and perfect for a romantic night!
#9 – Bloom Bar @Vista
Rooftop bars with views across Trafalgar Square aren’t easy to come by, so Vista is pretty special. The Bloom Gin take over in the summer meant that I could indulge my gin love with some special cocktails 🙂
# 10 – Cooking Cocktails Breaking Bad Style
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you’ll know that I love a good pop up, and ABQ had their breaking bad themed pop up in an RV all summer. We actually got to ‘cook’ up cocktails in the RV using liquid nitrogen and other random sounding ingredients – it was great fun!
A great year, albeit only summarised briefly above, what have your favourite blog posts of 2015 been?
